No one under the age of majority may examine for the Hypnotherapy specialization. Likewise, one must have earned at least a two-year college or university degree to be eligible for Hypnotherapy specialization with the Society of Experiential Trance.Note the required number of demonstrations for each skill in each type of Examination. Live Exams should be scheduled with a Certified Examiner. Please note that Video Exams require that the hypnotist work with a minimum of five different trance partners. All hypnotherapy specialist certification demonstrations must incorporate the use of clean session language and candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding and facility in guiding clients and trance partners rather than leading them. This is particularly true of any regression-based processes but applies to any and all hypnosis techniques.
